Under blue skies and brilliant sunshine Grange won the toss and inserted Colney. With steady performances from Mitch(40),Kevin(34),Paul(26),Andy(17n/o)and not to forget the pinch-hitter himself Phil(16)Colney reached a competent 165-8.
After tea Grange never really looked like they got to grips with the run chase. Apart from Weatherly(44),Farrell(32)and Cowell(20)it never was a go. What a wonderful comparison we had on the day though, at one end 13yr old Connor Dow(8-3-16-1)bowling with pace and accuracy and the other end his hunting partner with flight and guile the 184yr old Brian Ray.
Grange are always great company and I hope they stay Colney's friends for years to come.
