On a lovely sunny afternoon Colney lost to Roxbourne in a close fought game played in a tremendous spirit.Den won the toss and decided to bat. Peter Norris batted quite magnificently for an unbeaten 60.There were also good supporting roles from Mitch(28),Mike(21)and especially Connor(22).They had a partnership of 57 in 44mins.Colney finished on 162 for 4wkts,probably in hindsight a generous declaration.
Roxbourne only had one bat that caused Colney any problems and he finished on 86 not/out as they won 3wkts.Its has to mentioned that Connor bowled a spirited spell of pace and movement, taking 3-35. Well done Connor.
