Walthamstowe v London Colney Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI on Sun 05 Aug 2007 at 2pm Start
London Colney Cricket Club Lost by 126 runs
On a day, when it looked from the beginning Colney were on a hiding to nothing as the opposition had decided to replace members of their side with first team members. All done in the name of sportsmanship,Wonderful! After their batsmen decided have a run fest to reach 277-5, Colney decided they were not going to just lie down.
Mike Newland(18),Kev Lawrence(29)and John Gibbons(14) never looked in a great deal of trouble, but as every knows the 2's is about the young guns and they continue to show given the opportunity the future of this club is in good hands. Connor Dow(7)opened for the first time and never looked in trouble until he was run out. Dinal Kadawathage(20) who drove and hooked with elegance and Rick Zeiderman(25n/o) showed the other side of his gay cabenario batting to really grit it out with Phil Smith(6n/o) enabled Colney to reach 151-5.
CONGRATULATION TO DINAL KADAWATHAGE ON HIS SELECTION FOR THE SRI LANKAN U17 IN THE MINI WORLD CUP AND TO THE MIDDLESEX ACADEMY.
