Nicknames: Fletters, James Vince
Alex joined LCCC from Southgate Adelaide for the start of the 2018 season and quickly established himself as a popular member of the 1st XI team. A tall batsman in possession of a stout defence and a languid cover drive, Alex's 'stickability' during a number of tough low chases in difficult wickets has helped Colney over the line on numerous occasions. When bowling, Alex can get the ball to the other end at brisk medium pace, with an action which, at best, can be described as 'all his own'.
Special Move: Frog in a Blender
Nickname: Carly
Carl is the youngest of the three Frame brothers who joined LCCC at the start of the 2019 season. Carl has quickly established himself as Colney's new ball strike bowler, picking up a wicket in his first over for the club on his way to four wickets on debut and recently recording his first league five-for. A top order bat who is quick on the cut and pull, Carl has the ability to run the ball into gaps and always keep the scoreboard moving.
Special Move: Sulky Shampoo Smash
Nicknames: Lily, Mr Angry
Liam joined LCCC along with brothers Adam and Carl at the start of the 2019 season and made an instant impression with an unbeaten 43 as Colney recorded an 8 wicket win against St Albans II. An aggressive batsman, particularly strong down the ground, Liam is just as happy at first wicket down as he is upping the scoring rate from the middle order. In the field, Liam has the explosive temper of all the great fast bowlers, though sadly not the wheels, operating at medium pace with the ability to move the ball both ways and deliver a slower ball so slow, it appears to defy the laws of physics. A fine fielder, Liam is never short of an angry word or two the gee the team, or himself up.
Special Move: Strangling the runs
Nicknames: Pinky, JP, J-Pizzle
John follows in the finest of Colney traditions in being a hard hitting lower-middle order batsman and a naggingly accurate medium pacer. John began his playing career with Colney's 2nd XI but quickly showed an ability to get the Readers ball to 'hoop' and was quickly promoted to the first team. John's finest moment in a Colney shirt came in August 2015 when he reduced Preston II from a healthy 73-0 to 78-7 by taking 6 wickets, 4 of them in one over including a memorable hat-trick. John also has a century to his name, scored for the Sunday 2nd XI, but awaits his first 1st XI league 50.
Special Move: Stealing run outs, Hat-trick Hero
