London Colney Cricket Club Saturday 2nd XI squad

Saturday 2nd XI

Captain : Russ Blackman

Vice Captain : Paul Seymour

Paul has played cricket for LCCC since the age of 11 when filling in as a fielder over at White Horse Lane back in 1981. He has stayed loyal to the club experiencing the Highs and the Lows. As a previous Captain took the 2nd team to two promotions which saw them gain division 7 cricket for the club 2's. He is now the Club Chairman and is proud to be in this role. Paul is a batsman who can be destructive or  a batsman who can fail early!
Shiron Maclan

Nicknames: Macca

Heralding from sunny Sri Lanka, Maclan is Colney's overseas bowler who is seemingly from another planet altogether.  A seam bowler whose crazy run up is only matched by his crazy ideas, Macca has the ability to generate good pace and move the ball off the seam.  Also blessed with a good eye and the ability to hit a long cricket ball, LCCC will feel they've not seen the best of him yet.

Special Move: Passing First Time

Phil Smith
Smudger - AKA The Special one
Adam Stuart
2nd XI Capt 2010
Uzman Zaman
Nicknames: Uzi, 9mm, Sticker Head

Uz joined Colney from St Albans in 2007, winning the 1st XI bolwing trophy in his first two seasons.  Bowling brisk medium pace off a short run up, Uzman's natural line means that batsmen have to play most deliveries and seldom gives freebies.  Uzman also posseses a deceptively quick bouncer and the worst slower ball the game has ever seen.  Capable of clearing the ropes when he bats, Uz's runs have at times been as valuable as his wickets as his strong striking has accelerated many Colney innings'.

Special Move: The Yumlicker (sic)
